WATER FACT 1
70% of the body is water, and water acts as a natural appetite suppressant
and helps to regulate your metabolism.

When you become dehydrated, your metabolism slows down,
affecting how your body burns fat.
WATER FACT 3
Most of us do not consume enough water throughout the day.
11 Warning Signs of Dehydration?
It’s surprisingly easy to become dehydrated
if you don’t drink enough water.
Once dehydration has set in, the body slowly begins
to shut down, eventually causing problems.
Fortunately, your body will tell you that you’re
dehydrated by displaying one or more of the
following warning symptoms.
A dry mouth, or dry cracked lips is an early sign of dehydration.
This sounds obvious, but when you’re dehydrated, you become thirsty. It’s just your body’s way of encouraging you to drink.
On average, we should drink between eight and 12 glasses of water a day.
If you feel tired after exercise or sluggish in the afternoon,
it may be because you haven’t had enough to drink.
If you notice that your skin is flushed, it may be a symptom of dehydration. Remember that you would be naturally
flushed if you have just been exercising or been out in the sun.
Many headaches are caused by dehydration, so if you feel a headache coming on,
drink some water immediately.
Dizziness and lack of Concentration
Feeling dizzy and a lack of concentration are both symptoms of severe dehydration and are usually
caused by a lack of blood to the brain. Drink water immediately.
If you find yourself feeling down in the dumps or snapping for no reason, it may be because you are dehydrated.
Try drinking some water to see if it lifts your mood.
When you feel nauseous, you usually don’t feel like having anything, but when it comes to
dehydration, drinking fluids is very important.
Normally, when you pinch your skin, it moves back into place once you let go of it. But if you have poor skin elasticity,
your skin will take longer to go back into place. Doctors may do this test when identifying a patient with dehydration.
Constipation is another common symptoms of dehydration.
This means going eight or more hours without urinating.
The best indicator of dehydration is the colour of your wee. Ideally it should be clear and if it’s not,
this means that you need to drink more water. The colour of your wee will actually tell you how much you are lacking,
whether it is a dark yellow or a pale yellow, it’s time to drink water.
Hydration makes you a happier person and happier people make a happier world.
